CITY CYCLING - The app for the city cycling campaign!
CITY CYCLING is an Android app developed by Klima-Bündnis Climate Alliance, available for free in the Lifestyle category. The app allows users to track their cycling routes via GPS, with the kilometers cycled being credited to their team and municipality. Additionally, cycling routes are provided to traffic planners, anonymously and in different visualizations, to help improve the local cycling infrastructure.
One of the new features is the gamification through achievements, where regular cyclists are rewarded with awards in three categories. The app also features a cycle log, team overview, and team chat, allowing for communication and motivation between team members. Another useful feature is the RADar! reporting platform, which allows users to report problematic or dangerous places along cycle routes, with the information automatically forwarded to the responsible municipality.
